MS excel overview
In this, you will learn about a sheet of Excel and its different sections. As we mentioned in the introduction, an Excel file is called a workbook. Inside that workbook, we can work in it by creating different sheets.
Table of Contents
Quick Access Toolbar
Quick access toolbar – The Quick Access toolbar is on the top left side of the Excel workbook. It contains Save, Undo, Redo, and Customize Quick Access toolbars. By using a customized Quick Access Toolbar, we can add more regularly used options to the Quick Access Toolbar. If we want to keep too many numbers in decreasing order in increasing order, then we can add short assigning and sort decending to the option of quick access tool bar menu
Tabs in excel workbook
On the right side of the Excel workbook, there are buttons for maximize, minimize and close. There are tabs in the top side of the Excel workbook. Names of tabs such as Home, Insert, Formula, Data, View Help (help). Each tab is accompanied by a ribbon associated. And there are many buttons associated with each ribbon.
Excelsheet workarea
Rows and columns are made under the ribbon of the Excel sheet. Our actual work is done in this area. This is where we enter data, make formulas. It rows and columns live in a grid. The column runs from left to right in the order of serial A, B, C, D. Cry 1,2,3,4,5,6 over there… Move in a direction from top to bottom. Whenever we open a new sheet in the Excel workbook, the serial of the column and the serial of the row appear in the same way in every Excel sheet.A cell is formed by combining columns and columns. E.g. A1 means A column 1 row. In the cell, we do data entry such as formula or financial data.
Scroll and zoom
Each Excel workbook has a scroll bar at the bottom and right. With this help, we can also go to the rowed column that we are not visible in the current window. Similarly, there is also a zoom option in the bottom right and excel. With zoom, we can read small written text by enlarging it. This idea comes in handy right now if you’re projecting an Excel worksheet in a meeting and it’s in very small fonts, so we can improve its visibility.
