If you want to use the Internet mainly for reading through the device, then e-reader will be a very good option.

If you want that you do not have any phone calls or other disturbances in the middle of your reading, then choosing an e-reader will be a very good decision for you.

There is no fatigue or any other problem in the eyes in reading with the e-reader.   The reason for this is that the display technology of  the e-reader is different from the display technology of a mobile tablet or laptop

No other app can be installed in the e-reader, so due to this you will not have any kind of notification or any other disturbance from any other app.  With this, you can complete your study target in the target time.

E-reader has so much memory that you can store thousands of books at a time.  This means that you will not need to take a separate bookshelf.  

Apart from the advantages mentioned above, e-reader also has some disadvantages compared to a printed paper book.

If you are reading a subject that contains a lot of pictures, it will not look very good in the e-reader.

If your area is such that you have to see a lot of colorful graphs, charts, etc., then they will not look very well in the e-reader

If you are in a device that has multiple functionalities at the same time, such as playing games, watching movies, making full calls, chatting, officer working and reading, then e-reader will not be a good choice.

Even if most of your time is spent on work other than reading, taking an ereader will not be as useful.

This is also because the current price of the ireader is equal to the price of a mid-segment phone.
